Raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He studied jazz drumming at
Hartford’s Hartt School of Music, teaching himself guitar and keyboards on the side. Since then Wardwell’s stint as a drummer for Miracle Legion’s Mark Mulcahy and his guest-guitar spot on a recent single by Lou Barlow of Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh. Currently guitar tech for J Mascis.
